Bendy busses are relatively new to Calgary and judging from the photo above, the city may have discovered a problem with their implementation: ice.
You can’t really see it in the photo above, but the first bendy bus is somehow stuck on the bus stop sign, and the second bendy bus tried to pull out to go around the first, but ran into problems. It ended up completely blocking all traffic on this very busy street. A third regular bus hit the curb as it tried to stop.
It took them a few hours to resolve the situation.
As I rode by, it was one of those moments when I was happy to be riding a bike and not stuck in a car or bus in the ensuing chaos.
