Writing at Leela Palace (with Geez*)

I’ve been doing most of my paper writing at Leela Palace. They have the only barista I’ve seen in Bangalore — and the cafe itself is situated in the middle of a beautiful garden.

There’s something strangely soothing and inspirational about sitting in the middle of a tropical garden while sipping lattes and mojitos surrounded by a completely different culture. I’m replenishing my soul.

Geezer is with me pairing. He’s been immensely helpful when I throw out ideas and search for alternate wording. “What’s another word for achieve, Geez?” His immediate silence gives me enough time to come up with a word.

As such, he spent part of the day exploring the palace; sliding down the pillars, swimming with the koi fish, and taking a moment to enjoy the beauty. He better relax now because he’s got a big adventure ahead of him.

* There’s a really long history behind Geezer (short for Geese-d Lightening) that involves the last project I was on, pairing, and team spirit. He’s in Bangalore with me and is the TWU mascot for the upcoming session.
